Veloadout helps you calculate how much packed volume your bikepacking gear takes up — so you know exactly which bags fit your setup before you start packing.
Quick start
- Add gear by typing a product name in the search bar (e.g. "Thermarest NeoAir XLite"). The app finds it in the database or asks Claude AI to look up the packed volume from the web.
- For products with multiple sizes (Regular / Long / Wide), pick the size you own before adding it to your list.
- Don't know an exact product? Use the preset panel — quick-add buttons for typical items like sleeping bags, tents, jackets, with realistic average volumes.
- Check the bag recommendation panel — it suggests how to distribute your total volume across handlebar, frame, and seat packs.
Search tips
Search works best with specific product names, not generic terms. "MSR Hubba Hubba 2P" gives a precise volume; "tent" doesn't. If the AI didn't find all sizes, click "Search the web more thoroughly" to dig deeper.
Account & saving
Sign in via magic link (email, no password) to save your gear list across devices. Without an account, your list lives only in this browser tab.
Good to know
- Volumes are packed/compressed sizes, not unpacked. A sleeping bag in its stuff sack, not lofted out.
- All numbers are estimates. For trip-critical gear, verify against manufacturer specs.
- Found something missing? Sign in and search — confirmed AI results are saved to the shared catalog for everyone.
